Eat your heart out
Cauliflower is part of the cruciferous vegetable family which means its rich in indole-3-carbinols.
Indol what? Essentially, this chemical helps the liver to detoxify excess estrogen which is a common cause of PMS related issues toward the second half of your cycle.
If you're new to cycle syncing or are cycle syncing already, this popcorn cauli is perfect to incorporate around your time of ovulation (generally mid cycle) as this is when estrogen spikes and must be properly detoxified by the liver and excreted through the gut.

Without further ado, here is the recipe for this super delicious, crunchy cauli!
Ingredients
1 small cauliflower cut into florets
1 free range egg- whisked
1 cup of gluten free panko crumbs
(I use Orgran panko crumbs)
1/2 cup grated parmesan
2 tspn smoked paprika
Salt and pepper
Olive oil to drizzle
Method
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees C
Lightly steam cauliflower in a steamer or saucepan of boiling water for 5 minutes or until tender
Drain well and allow to cool for 5 minutes
Transfer to a large bowl and stir through the whisked egg until evenly coated
Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl
Add the cauliflower and toss to combine
Line a large tray with baking paper (depending on the size of your oven, you may need 2 smaller trays)
Arrange the mixture on the tray so each piece of cauliflower is single layered
Lightly drizzle with olive oil and bake for 30 minutes or until crispy
You can serve this popcorn cauli with aoli, along side roast veggies, grilled salmon or anything your heart desires x
To veganify- replace the egg for 3 tablespoons of nut milk and the parmesan for nutritional yeast flakes
Serves 3-4
