In case you wanted to spice up your chicken breasts
Grilled chicken breasts are one of my favourite and versatile forms of protein. Although I try to fill my plate with a lot of plant based foods, my body craves animal protein and just doesn't feel the same without it.
I am sure you've heard it all before but protein plays such a crucial role within the body including meal satiety, muscle growth and development (whether you lift weights or not), aiding the production of neurotransmitters and hormones, digestion and a plethora of others.
Without further ado, here is your recipe!
Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts (PLEASE use organic, free range or hormone free chicken)
6 tbsp greek yoghurt (if you are dairy intolerant you can use plain coconut yoghurt)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
4 tsp paprika
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
Large pinch of salt
Method
Chop the chicken into large cubes- approximately 3cm
Place the chicken and all other ingredients into a large bowl and mix
Leave to marinade in the fridge for approximately 2 hours
Grill on medium heat until cooked through- approximately 10 minutes
Add to your favourite salad, side dish or tabouli (as pictured above)- you can find the recipe here
